Location

Sainte Foy is a very quiet, tranquil, tiny hamlet of 6 habitable houses and numerous barns situated on a small peninsula in the hills between the Lot et Garonne valleys. Variously described as being in Aquitaine, Gascony or Lot et Garonne (for obvious reasons!) the area is one of outstanding beauty and steeped in history.

Situated just 3-4 kilometres from the very pretty village of Prayssas (which provides all facilities) and only a 20 minute drive from the attractive and thriving towns of Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, the property is ideally situated to provide the perfect holiday in the South-West of France. Each property is designed with Al-Fresco living in mind, but a word of warning…you will be surrounded by some of the finest and most reasonable restaurants in the region, (if not France) and once tempted…

If the lure of Al-Fresco life and wonderful restaurants isn’t enough, well, check out the gorgeous dining experience that can be provided in the comfort of your holiday home by Dolmayrac Cuisine at a very reasonable cost. Have a look at the website's site cuisine page to have a look at menus and wine list etc. I can promise you won’t be disappointed!

And finally… guests don’t even have to visit the local Boulangerie for fresh bread and patisseries everyday, as the local Boulanger visits the hamlet everyday except Mondays delivering fresh bread and patisseries to order.

The Grounds

Extending to approximately 4 acres in total, the property offers plenty of scope to wander and watch the prolific wildlife. Birds of prey, tawny and barn owls and deer are regular visitors to the valley, (daily in some cases), with the occasional sighting of wild boar and badgers. The grounds to the property slope down the valley below the top terrace which houses the 3 properties and the Pool Terrace. Within the grounds can be found a petanque court, (located under a very old oak tree), various picnic benches, an open field and an embryonic orchard which, in time, will boast a variety of fruits.

Also within the grounds can be found an extremely old terracotta bread oven, which will be subject to a careful (and slow!) restoration programme during 2008.
